Last Empire - War Z is a multiplayer strategy game. The world set out in Last Empire is clearly bleak from its very opening moment. You play the survivor of a zombie outbreak who manages to escape by helicopter. The player's first task is to kill the zombies attached to the vehicle's underside with the tap of a finger. It doesn't let up from there, placing you in a struggling compound trying to survive in the end of days.

Accomplishing your goals means building your forces, and that means everything from recruiting a diverse collection of martial forces to expanding the structures within your compound. Zombie assaults happen regularly, and having the right forces garrisoned can make all the difference in the world. Where Last Empire really shines is in the wealth of its game play. Players are rarely at a loss for what to do, and the wide range of buildings available mean that each player's base is bound to be unique. Players can send their survivors out into the wilderness to forage for supplies, attack the compounds of other players, or place them on a helicopter to engage in missions. Additionally, the ability to join a guilt increases the social aspect of the entire experience.
